TEACHING
I teach in the university general education program and in the Department of Africana Studies core curriculum. Some of my courses are cross-listed with the Departments of Anthropology, History, and Languages and Cultural Studies. I am also a faculty member in the Honors College and Graduate School.
I am interested in mentoring students in research methods and material analysis. My archaeology lab is especially looking for student collaborators interested in ceramic analysis, fauna analysis, petrographic analysis, application of instrumentation techniques and statistical methods to artifact analysis, paleoecology, and GIS/Remote Sensing techniques. Students interested in African food landscape in Charlotte and other aspects of African and African Diaspora cultural history are encouraged to contact me.
